Vick Muniz at Rio+20

Due to the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD) Rio+20, the artist Vick Muniz has made the artwork “Paisagem” (Landscape) using garbage collected from the Guanabara bay, having the assistance of people from the city and visitors of the Rio+20.

The same method of working was used in 2010 which was registered on the documentary “Waste Land”, where he had the assistance of the catadores de lixo (garbage pickers) that worked finding recyclables at the garbage damp Jardim Gramacho in Rio de Janeiro.
